SA: Howard consolidates SA as an election battleground
The Prime Minister has consolidated South Australia's position as a key battleground
in his war against Labor to win the federal election.
Mr HOWARD says the state .. home to five marginal seats .. was pivotal to his government's
success for a fifth term in office.
In a speech to the South Australian Liberal Party faithful in Adelaide today .. the
PM has rejected comments by Treasurer PETER COSTELLO .. reported this week .. that he
can't win.
He's admitted it won't be easy but the election is winnable.
