Vic: Brumby unveils $112m plan to fight traffic congestion
A new state government plan to reduce congestion will see Melbourne's clearways more
heavily policed .. buses given greater priority .. and new bike tracks built.
Unveiling the 112 million Keeping Melbourne Moving strategy .. Premier JOHN BRUMBY
said the new measures represent a balanced approach to tackling congestion on the roads.
He's again ruled out a London-style congestion tax .. saying today's plan is the best
way to free up traffic flows and make travelling easier for trams.
